Sky Blues in the Community are centrally involved in a brand new project overseen by Coventry City Council to help more local people get into sport thanks to £215,000 of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Community Sport Activation Fund.

The Council and its partners, Sky Blues in the Community, Coventry Sports Foundation and Positive Youth Foundation are among 88 projects to receive a share of £15 million of national funding to support grassroots sport activity across the country.

The #Ucan project aims to encourage more people in Foleshill to take part in and enjoy sport. The #Ucan team run a range of sporting activities and events in the Foleshill and Henley areas of the city, with activities taking place for a variety of age groups from 14 + (including adults). Activities include badminton, football, cricket, dance, and exercise classes delivered in the heart of Foleshill and Henley for the local community.
