Premier League Kicks
Sky Blues in the Community are pleased to announce new continuation of the Premier League Kicks Programme.
Premier League Kicks is the Premier League’s flagship community initiative through the Premier League Charitable Fund the overriding aim of which is to use the strength and profile of professional football clubs to create opportunities at the heart of their communities. The programme is also supported financially by the Moathouse Trust.
The PL Kicks project offers positive activities for young people aged 8-19 years old in high priority areas, providing free football sessions and a further night of alternative activities – including other sports, dance, music and personal development and leadership opportunities. The scheme also aims to break down barriers between the police and young people, reducing crime and anti-social behavior and creating routes into volunteering, education and employment.
The Kicks scheme is currently run at a numerous of Premier League and Football League clubs across the country. Sky Blues in the Community Kicks programme helped in excess of 1,000 young people in the year 2015/2016.
