Holiday Activities

Funded by BBC Children in Need, Sky Blues in the Community offer FREE turn up and play multi-sport activities during school holiday periods.

The ‘On the Ball’ activities take place in parks, multi-use games areas and other community venues in 14 areas across Coventry and Warwickshire during the day in school holidays. Sky Blues coaches deliver two hours of FREE multi-sport games and activities for children aged 8-18.

Children can just turn up to the sessions, with no need to book in advance. Activities last for two hours, and our coaches deliver sessions twice each week at all venues. The areas that the project works in are:

  • Foleshill (Redhouse Park and Eagle Street Multi-Sports Area)
  • Hillfields (Sidney Stringer Academy)
  • Upper Stoke (Goals Soccer Centre)
  • Wood End (Moathouse Leisure Centre)
  • Radford (Active Meadowlands Multi-Sports Area)
  • Willenhall (Hagard Centre)
  • Cheylesmore (Community Centre)
  • Forbes Estate (Warwick)
  • Bilton and Cawston (Rugby)

During the last year of the project over 1,400 children benefited from the free sport sessions on offer throughout the local area.
