PE & PPA Cover

Our physical education and PPA cover (planning, preparation and assessment) offers a high quality provision covering sport and physical activity within schools, as part of our ‘Partner Schools’ initiative.

Our coaches will work with Head Teachers or PE Coordinators to devise tailor-made timetabled lessons covering PPA time and/or PE lessons. These sessions are not just football-based, but work across a number of sports including basketball, netball, tag rugby, Uni-hoc, cricket, athletics, dodge ball, racket sports, or balance work/ fundamental movement skills.

Our staff liaise with PE teachers/coordinator on the programme at the start of each term to agree the content.

Assessments are also prepared for each individual pupil to measure children’s progress and attainment levels – in line with school national curriculum requirements.

We work alongside other sports organisations and national governing bodies for sport to equip our coaches with training, information and resources that allows them to deliver sessions across sports to a high standard.

There are a number of benefits to being a partner school, including attendance at your school parents evenings, we support your school with fundraising and offer training for your school staff – upskilling them in the delivery of physical education and physical activity.

All partner schools are also allocated a central point of contact from the Sky Blues in the Community team who works with all of the schools in your local area. Our Area Development Officers also coordinate extra-curricular activities including after-school clubs, Saturday clubs and holiday courses, meaning we can signpost your pupils into extra-curricular activities with familiar coaches, increasing their levels of physical activity.
